English Translation
Being enveloped by yoga-maya, I do not become manifest to all. This deluded world does not know Me who am birthless and undecaying.
Detailed Commentary
7.25 Commentary: "'*Mudho’yam nabhijanati loko mamajamavyayam*' – I am *Aja* (unborn) and *Avyaya* (imperishable), meaning I am free from birth and death. Yet, I manifest by taking an *Avatara* and then disappear. Just as the sun rises and sets, so do I perform My *Lila* (divine play). Those who consider Me unborn and imperishable are the wise ones. But those who perceive Me as an ordinary being are the deluded ones. The reason for not considering Bhagavan as *Aja* and *Avinashi* is that humans forget their natural relationship with Bhagavan and identify with the body. This creates a veil before them, causing them to consider Bhagavan as being like themselves. The deluded ones do not know Me as *Aja* and *Avinashi*. There are two reasons for their ignorance: firstly, My being concealed by *Yoga Maya*, and secondly, their own delusion. Just as a person confined within their house in a city can step out of their house, but cannot pass beyond the city walls. If the king desires, he can open both gates; and if one cannot open them oneself, the king can even break down the gates. Similarly, a living being can dispel their delusion and realize their true nature. However, the realization of the truth of Bhagavan is possible only through His grace. '*Naham prakashah sarvasya yogamayasamavritah*' – I am not manifest before the deluded masses because they do not consider Me *Aja* and *Avinashi*. Therefore, I remain concealed from them by *Yoga Maya*. But to those who believe Me to be *Ishvara* (the Supreme Lord) and possess *Shraddha* (faith) and *Vishvasa* (trust), I remain manifest. Bhagavan's *Yoga Maya* is indescribable. They perceive Bhagavan, enveloped by *Yoga Maya*, according to their own disposition. Those who do not know Me as *Aja* and *Avinashi* are deluded. In the Tenth Chapter, Bhagavan has stated that even the *Devas* (deities) and *Maharshis* (great sages) do not know My origin (*Prabhava*). Here, the deluded ones are mentioned, but there (in the Tenth Chapter), they are not deemed blameworthy. It is not possible to fully comprehend Bhagavan's origin. Humans can accept Bhagavan as *Aja* and *Avinashi*. If they do not accept this, it is their fault. Connection: Those who do not consider Bhagavan as *Aja* and *Avinashi* have a veil of *Maya* before them, but for Bhagavan, there is no such veil. This is described in the next *Shloka*.
